23-Year-Old Cara Mund Emerges Miss America 2017

Cara Mund emerges the new Miss America, the 23-year-old  representing North Dakota claimed the crown as Miss America 2017, the event was held yesterday at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall.


The crown was placed on the 23-year-old winners head as the new Miss America by Savvy Shields  the former Miss America 2016.

Cara emerged victorious through a series of talent contests, swimsuit, onstage speeches and two rounds of interviews by judges.  In one of her onstage interviews, she said President Trump was wrong to withdraw the U.S. from the climate accord aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming.
